Gilly Coman, British actress (Bread), died from suspected heart attack.she was 50

Gilly Coman 1] was a British based actress, who played Aveline in the first four series of Carla Lane's sitcom Bread. Coman also appeared in Brookside, Boys from the Blackstuff, Coronation Street and Emmerdale Farm.

Bread written by Carla Lane, attracted more than 21 million viewers for the episode when Aveline married Protestant vicar Oswald in 1988.

She had also appeared in such programmes as Coronation Street, Brookside, Inspector Morse, Springhill and Emmerdale Farm.

She also appeared in the BBC sitcom Open All Hours. She played Marigold Lockton in the 1997 TV adaptation of the Jilly Cooper novel The Man Who Made Husbands Jealous.

Coman died close to her home on the Wirral on 13 July 2010 of a suspected heart attack and is survived by her husband Phil, a photographer, her 3 sons and a daughter called Jessica.[2][3]
